"Every piece of my jewellery is based on my beliefs in quality, vision and design. I strive to balance intricacy with simplicity to create pieces that will forever excite and delight"

James' passion for jewellery was inspired by his grandfathers. His mother's father an author on Chester Silver, his father's father a silversmith in retirement. Having developed his eye at a young age during his time at school in Cambridgeshire, James studied 3D design at Loughborough University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2011.

As a graduate, James worked for a Cambridge based goldsmith until he started his own business, James Veale Jewellery (JVJ), in 2013. JVJ specialises in turning original sculptures of wildlife, which are sculpted by a long-standing friend and internationally acclaimed sculptor, Edward  Waites, into stunning jewellery. In 2015, James expanded his business to also create bespoke designs, and developed James Veale Bespoke (JVB).

James embraces the latest technology and traditional craft to create innovative and high-specification pieces, ranging from: new designs to re-worked jewels; engagement to cocktail rings; engraved wedding bands to eternity rings; pendants to bracelets.

James' workshop is situated just north of London in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and he will often meet clients in their own homes.
